How the score works

Every candidate gets a single NameChai score from 0 to 100. It blends four signals so a name that's available everywhere but forgettable doesn't outrank a sharp name with a free .com. The weighting:

Domain availability35 pts
The share of the active TLD columns where the name is actually available, times 35. A name available on every shown TLD earns the full 35; one available on half earns ~17.5.
Name quality30 pts
A brandability read (0–100) for the name itself — how short, pronounceable, and memorable it is — scaled to 30 points.
Keyword interest20 pts
An indicative estimate of search interest in the name (0–10), scaled to 20 points. Treat it as a directional signal, not a precise volume.
Social handles15 pts
The share of the six tracked platforms (X, Instagram, GitHub, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook) whose handle looks available, times 15. These are indicative estimates — confirm on each platform.

A name that's available on none of the active TLDs scores 0 and shows as a greyed-out, "dead" row — there's nothing to register.

The number inside each TLD cell

Each available cell shows a per-TLD score from 11 to 94: the name's brandability adjusted by how desirable that extension is. .com carries the most weight; tech-leaning TLDs like .ai, .io, and .dev rank high, and novelty extensions weigh less. A taken cell shows nothing.

Prices shown are estimates. Domain availability is best-effort — always confirm at your registrar before purchasing.
